Ravens over Pats- Brady and his receivers have not been able to get on the same page. The expected return of Wes Welker will help. But the Ravens are locked in on every level this year. Ray Lewis, Ed Reed and company will throw as many looks as they can at the Pats offense. Look for Flacco to outshine Brady as the Pats drop their first home game in 17 games.
Redskins over Bucs
Titans over Jags
Texans over Raiders
Bears over Lions
Bengals over Browns
Colts over Seahawks
Giants over Chiefs
Saints over Jets- Defense wins championships. But rookie QBs don't. Mark Sanchez has impressed this blogger but expect him to be slightly rattled in a raucous New Orleans Superdome. The Saints are tied for the league lead with 9 takeaways and will win the turnover battle. Drew Brees is the leader of a prolific offense but look for Pierre Thomas to make a difference on the ground. The 8-point line favoring the Saints is a little heavy but look for the Saints to win the battle of 3-0s.
Dolphins over Bills
Cowboys over Broncos- The Broncos face their first big boy test of the season and get housed by Romo. As long as the Cowboys can stay out of their own way, 9 penalties for 80 yards last week, they will roll.
49ers over Rams
Steelers over Bolts- The defending champs are 1-2?!? After a slim 13-10 victory over the Titans in Week 1, the Steelers have dropped back to back games at the hands of the Bears and Bengals. Look for the Steelers to make the Chargers a one dimensional offensive attack. Big Ben throws 3 TDs and the Steelers get a much needed victory. With the Lions and Browns the next 2 weeks, the Steelers will be 4-2 coming into a Week 7 match with the Vikings.
Vikings over Packers- I can't believe I just typed that. But reality trumps affiliation when picking games. It'll be a long day for Ryan Grant and Aaron Rodgers. The Viks D line will dominate the Packs weak O line. But look for the Packers D to force a pair of Fave picks, they lead the league in interceptions with 7. The picks will help ease the pain, but Favre makes Packers fans wish he was still wearing Green and Gold.
