This just in! New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has been fired! After last night's incredulous decision to go for it on 4th and 2 from his own 28 yard line with 2:06 left failed, Belichick knew he was in hot water earlier today.

"I really am fearful for my job," Belichick said. "I mean, looking at the media coverage today, I must really suck, right?"

Yes, Bill, you must. I mean your 70.6% winning percentage with the Patriots is really awful. 3 Super Bowls? Weak! A 16-0 regular season? Didn't get a ring that year did ya? So it came as no surprise today when Belichick was relieved of his duties and replaced by radio caller number 7 on Boston Sports Talk Radio, Steve Sagnoli.

"Belichick is a bum," Sagnoli said. "I mean, he makes that call all the time and converts it most of the time, but Kevin Faulk didn't bobble that ball, Belichick did! I definitely would have preferred giving Peyton Manning the ball with 2 minutes left at home down 6! Especially considering the fact that Peyton had over 300 yards already and 3 TDs!"

QB Tom Brady said he is happy to see Belichick go.

"I was sick of that stupid tattered hoodie he wore all the time," Brady said. "Seriously, have some fashion sense."

Considering the fact that Belichick had Brady, Randy Moss, Wes Welker, an outstanding offensive line and a great all-around back in Kevin Faulk one really has to wonder what Belichick was thinking.

While some critics suggest that the real mistake the Patriots made was burning their final two timeouts, including using one to avoid a delay of game penalty on first down, on the final possession, preventing them from being able to challenge the Faulk spot, we here at CT&TBG know that is foolish!
