Bears Preview

Short week for the Bears this week which could really help them get over the embarrassing loss from last week. This is what I think the Bears should do to win tonight.
1. Get rid of your blitz package. According to Lovie Smith the reason for blitzing is to get your lineman in a 1 on 1 match with the o line. Now i always thought the reason for blitzing was so the you can get a man to come free to the quarterback, but apparently I was wrong. Lovie Smiths theory has shown to be false since the defense has given up 5 touchdown passes in 2 of the last 3 games. So just forget the blitz this week and sit back in coverage because it can't be much worse then blitzing.
2. Just pass. I do not care if i don't see a single run this week because this offensive line can not run block worth a shit. If Devin Hester has another reverse for a lose i may just kill someone. Clearly Jay Cutler is the only option for points this season, so just keep the ball in his hands. The Cardinals do it and as proof of last week it works.
3. Leadership. Someone on this team needs to become a leader or else this team may not win another game this season. I know your starting linebacker and leader of this team is out for the season but good players become great players when the can lead a team that is down. I'm talking to you Lance Briggs. This is the week to step up and show the world that this defense has some respect for themselves.

Saying this i believe the Bears fall short again tonight. The lack of defense, run game, and leaders is too great to overcome this short week. This week the Chicago sports radio stations get an early start on who to fire to make this team better.
