Where is the love for Jeff Garcia

Starting the season with the Raiders I thought that Jeff Garcia had a great shot to start over the former number one pick JaMarcus Russel, but before the end of camp he was cut by the Raiders. Then he was picked up by the Eagles when McNabb when down with an injury. He has once again been cut from a team and is now waiting for the phone call for some team to pick him up. I do not understand how he is not on a team. Jeff Garcia is a four time Pro Bowler and a proven winner that could really help a team in struggle this year. Last year Garcia led Tampa to 6 of their 9 victories and until their late season disaster of losing their final 5 games it looked like Garcia was going to take another team to the playoffs. Oakland looks like they made a horrible decision in getting rid of Garcia after starting the season with a 1-2 record and their only victory over the 0-3 Chiefs. Also JaMarcus Russel has come out on fire with a passer rating of 39.8. One team that could really use Garcia is the Carolina Panthers. Jake Delhomme has thrown 7 interceptions already this year and the Panthers are off to a 0-3 start for the first time since their 0-7 start to the 1998 season. I think Delhomme's time is done and the Panthers should be calling Garcia to get things turned around. Garcia needs to be in the league and could help a number of teams off to 0-3 starts on the year.

  1. I agree with you here Coach Tom. The Panthers are being held back my Delhomme, and they need to cut their loses and get rid of him ASAP.
