With September coming to an end and major laegue basesball in its final week of regular season games that usually means one thing: close dramatic pennet races. Well this year has been set up a bit differently with the closest division race being in the NL East and the Phillies lead the Braves by 5 games with 7 to play. So the only close race to watch is the wild card. Rockies have sat ontop of the wild card with a (88-68) record but my pick to steal the wild card is the red hot Atlanta Braves. They have won 6 straight and 14 of their last 16. Their final 7 games are at home, 3 against the Marlins and 4 against the Nationals. The Braves are just on fire and have the advantage over the Rockies with 7 home games and ending the season against Major Leagues worst team, the Nationals. The Rockies have been playing well but ending the season with the Dodgers is never fun especially when the Rockies are 3-12 against the Dodgers this season and haven't won at Dodger Stadium since June 30. The Wild Card race will come down to the final series of the season and i believe the Braves will beat the Rockies by 1 game with the help of their schedule.
